Open your save. Know what to do first.
The Analysis page reads your squad and ranks what needs attention — a position that is short, contracts running down, an ageing starter with no successor, unhappy players, a weak coaching area — and opens a filtered player search, the player’s profile or the Staff tab to act on each one. It points you to where to act; it doesn’t make the change for you.

One list. Most urgent at the top.
Analysis checks your squad and backroom, then ranks what needs doing. Six kinds of action can appear — each one links to the screen where you deal with it.

Depth against the shape you play.
“Short at full-back” only means something against a formation. Choose the one Analysis measures against: your club’s shape, any tactic you’ve imported, or generic squad coverage.
Measured againstRows are the positions your club’s own shape fields. Targets follow that shape.
Importing a tacticEvery suggestion says why.
Analysis ranks signings for your club and states the rule that picked each one — so you can judge the reasoning, not just the name.

- Ranked for your club
Suggestions are ordered for the squad you have, not a generic best-players list.
- The reason is printed
Each suggested signing states which rule picked it.
- Within your club’s reach
Checked against the same realism guide as “Will they join you?” — club and league standing, fee and wage — and priced for your club, with the ceilings shown.
Four tabs. One club.
The Dashboard is the brief. The other three tabs go deeper into the squad, the backroom and the market.

What Analysis is — and isn’t.
Clear limits, so you know how far to trust each line.
- Club careers only
- A national-team-only career sees a message instead of the page.
- Analysis of your save
- Not Football Manager’s own transfer AI. Suggestions don’t predict what FM will decide.
- “Who is moving” needs history
- It compares reads, so it needs more than one read of your save.
- No staff hire suggestions
- Deliberate. Weak coaching areas are flagged; finding coaches lives in Staff.
- Ability as a band outside Full
- Scout and Moneyball show a band word, not a number.
- Reflects your last read
- Refresh after a few matches; new signings and youth intakes need a full read.
